Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Release Date for Second Time to November

Once again, another event is being pushed back after the PlayStation5 gameplay event. This time though, it was not a gaming console showcase but a game. Cyberpunk 2077 brought up a lot of excitement within the gaming community when its release date was set for April 16th of 2020. Not soon after, though, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 stated that they were going to move the date back six months to September 17th.

Fans were a bit disappointed but anxious as the release of the game was pushed back due to how complex and big the game was, which meant better quality for the player and overall better experience. But, once again, soon after this announcement, there was another date push back to November 19th as the developers were not sure they would get the quality content out that they were happy with.

The developers mention that they value making sure that a newly released game is as enjoyable as it can be without having to add a ton of bug patches after its initial release, which is the point of such a far pushback for the game’s release to November.

The developers have stated that they want to provide the best quality for their players, and with such a complex and large game, they will need to spend time and have apologized for the long wait for their gaming fans. CD Projekt Red also states that they technically have the finished game but are working out any bugs that could arise from such dense game content.

Will there be yet another delay for this game? CD Projekt Red states that they believe that their game will be out and playable on the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X before November 26th, which is Thanksgiving, and just in time for the holiday season, which may lead to even more chaos about the buying the game once it hits the market in November.

Not only does this game being played on the Xbox Series X and PS5 stir excitement at its graphics quality, but it may also allude to the date that both consoles may be ready for sale!

Other details of the game include that the first version that players will be able to purchase allows for single-player gameplay, but the multiplayer function will not be available until the next year in 2021.

Although players cannot play the actual game for a while, there are still efforts by the developers for gamers to have a sneak peek at the gameplay. CD Projekt Red is hosting an event on June 25th, where you can tune into a stream to see the gameplay live! The details of where to stream this event and what time the stream is taking place have not yet been released, but most are guessing that it will take place on the Cyberpunk 2077 official YouTube channel.

While the two setbacks for the date that the game would be launched may be a bit disappointing for some avid fans, there will still be a streaming event and a better quality game when it is all said and done. It has been a hectic time for the developers for Cyberpunk 2077, but as the dust settles, the date is becoming more set in time. Don’t forget to tune in on June 25th for the streaming event and grab a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 on November 19th!
